The All India Football Federation (AIFF) executive committee was leaded by President Praful Patel in a meeting in Delhi Today.

Many decisions were taken in the Meeting such as:-

All the affiliated stated institutions of the country should confirm their statues with FIFA, AFC & AIFF constitution by the end of this year, i.e. Dec 2010 

I-League clubs can attend AIFF AGM but won’t have voting right.

Every state association should provide two dedicated venues to the AIFF on which the parent body can organize competitions. 

Two teams will be directly entered into the I League competition 2010-2010. The decision on the teams will be taken by the AIFF. The teams will not be selected from the States of, West Bengal, Maharashtra or Goa. . Two New ILeague Teams — one each from the north and south — will get direct entry to the top tier .

Instead of Four Teams, two will be relegated from the competition this year ILeague 2009-10 while another two will be promoted from the second division I League. With the addition of AIFF’s two special entrants, 16 teams will thus vie for top honours from the next season i.e 2010-2011. “Initially, the names of ONGC and HAL came up for discussion for direct entries,” sources said.

“But AIFF president and Hon'ble Minister for Civil Aviation Praful Patel told the meeting that since several corporate houses had shown keen interest over the past one year to invest in Indian football and raise quality teams, they should be involved in the process,” sources added.

Every Club should complete it’s licensing criteria framed by the AIFF. 

AIFF has formed a committee comprising secretary Albert Colaco, vice-president Subrata Dutta and IFA secretary Utpal Ganguly, to clear the decks from the state government to set up an academy in Bardhaman.

Colaco to continue till Asian Cup: AIFF general secretary Alberto Colaco will continue in office till next year’s Asian Cup at Doha in Qatar.

The executive committee on Friday unanimously agreed to extend Colaco’s contract till January 2011 when India rub shoulders with the best players on the continent in the Asian Cup.

The AIFF had started the process of finding Colaco’s successor. Four candidates including Goa Football Association secretary Savio Messias, former Vision India project director Shaji Prabhakaran, AIFF competitions director Anil Kamat and former Mahindra United coach Harish Rao who were short listed for interviews.

No player from the National Team will be allowed to participate in any domestic competitions such as the Santosh Trophy or the I League. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has also planned to cut down on the size of foreigners’ presence in the I League 2011.

One Player of Asian Origin and another of Indian Origin will be maintained for the current tournament, the PIO quota is likely to be abolished from the next I-League, which is scheduled to start in September. From 2011

AIFF approved the Goal 2011 plan under which 25 to 30 national team players are set to miss club football for the first seven months of the next season.

Senior team will have a camp in Dubai from February 4–26 and another from June 24-August 15 in Europe in preparing for Asian Cup. Squad selected for Asian Games will have their camp in Pune from February 4–14. The team will participate in AFC Challenge Cup in Sri Lanka from February 15-27.

Federation Vice-President Subrata Dutta has been named head of the Indian Football Team delegation for the Asian Games 2010 in China in November.

The Vice President from the West Zone was selected in the form of, Mr. Joaquim Alemao.

The Preparation blueprint for the national team was drafted by the AIFF.The following Programs have been decided:

Indian Senior Football Team Camp:

4th Feb to 26th Feb 2010: Camp in Dubai.

24th Jun to 15th Aug 10: camp in Europe.

Asian Games Team Camp:

4th to 14th Feb 2010 at Pune.
