East Bengal Derails Railway FC, As new Boy Jobi Shines.

In the past, East Bengal FC had suffered to recruit a talent in the midfield in the form of a playmaker, but Al -Amna could be the answer to all those disappointments. The Syrian had impressed each & every East Bengal FC supporter with his elegant touches, passing prowess & shooting ability, to be described all in all as a perfect playmaker to any team. In absence of Trinidad & Tobago internationals W. Plaza & D. Mitchell away serving their national team Al Amna was the one who raised his bar & took the extra responsibility as he manned the central midfield with inexperienced Prakash Sarkar. The absence of both Mitchel in defense & Plaza in attack saw Amna roaming up & down the field.

The weather gods were lenient today as the showers were absent but still, the ground conditions were too heavy. Debutant Justin Jobin who has been scouted from Kerala Football League started the proceedings at the very earliest at the very 4th minute when V.P Suhair played a one two to release Justin free on the left flank whose shot was wobbled by the Railway Fc custodian & went inside the goal. Railway FC Custodian came to rescue to avoid a humiliating loss as second half goals from V.P. Suhair secured the Red & Gold Brigades 5th win in a row. Earlier East Bengal FC had missed the flurry of goal scoring opportunities. Railway FC on the other hand also had opportunities but failed to grab the opportunity, as they came close to hit the crossbar in the first half.

Mehtab Singh impressed with newbie Jobi Justin & Prakash Sarkar is still growing in confidence. Khalid & his boys are getting better with every match. Acid test & strong performance by Indian recruits in absence of foreign players has proved that East Bengal FC has the all the potential & bench strength to win & make a record 8th CFL title.
