EAST BENGAL the Real POWER -The Official Website

East Bengal Kicks Off Their CFL 2017-2018.

Past few months were clearly volatile with AIFF placing their invisible hand above cash strapped ISL League, making a mockery of India's most coveted tournament I-League. East Bengal FC also was in deep waters with sponsors pulling back their support. Amongst all these series of unfortunate events the glittering hope to witness the Red & Gold brigade play in pitch will be a reality this Saturday 12th August 2017 @3pm when they start their CFL (Calcutta Football League) campaign against Rainbow FC.

It will be the acid test for the Khalid Jamil who will be making his debut as Red & Gold coach for the very first time. The team has a bundle of fresh talents from clubs Academy with Yami, Mehtab, Tetepuia & new recruits Brandon & Chullova had already displayed their charisma by helping to clinch Aizwal FC their maiden I league title. A mixture of youth & unknown talents combined with the great tactician from Mumbai can be a surprise package for all. 3 foreign recruits

1. Al - Amna who will anchor the midfield & would also play a part to be the principal playmaker.

2. Willis Deon Plaza - Second highest goal scorer in I league 2016-2017. The Trinidad & Tobago hitman had been a star but after a promising start fizzled out with sundries of missed opportunities in front of the goal proved costly in the later part of I-League & Fed Cup. Though on the insistence of the East Bengal gaffer Mr. Khalid Jamil the club management decided to offer him another season to prove his potent importance.

3. Carlyle Mitchell - This countryman of Plaza was roped in by East Bengal & his performance will be under scanner as East Bengal is yet to find a suitable replacement at the back & has leaked goals every season .....

Last but not the least EBRP has stepped forward to offer each & every East Bengal supporters chance to pay their homage towards our beloved Mr. Swapan Ball who earlier left us with lots of responsibility to surge ahead & shine with East Bengal.
EBRP volunteers will be present & would distribute 2500 masks of Mr. Swapan Ball amongst all the ardent fans to create an atmosphere that our beloved Swapan Da is still watching from above the abodes of the heaven.... #SwapanDaIsWatching.

The match starts @3pm in East Bengal FC ground.
