MEHTAB HOSSAIN might “QUIT” His Career Next Season

The midfield general MEHTAB HOSSAIN might say “ADEUS SOCCER” ( goodbye soccer) after next season. If sources are to be believed then Mehtab had an contract extension for 1 year from his ISL team KERALA BLASTERS next season. The 34 year old Defensive medio have expressed his plans to retire from proffesional football circuit playing for EAST BENGAL next season.

Mehtab have been playing proffesional club football more than a decade. Mehtab started his career at Kolkata club Tollygunge Aragami in 2001 at the tender age of 19. Then making a move to Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan and later joined the Biggest Club of Indian Football “East Bengal” in the year 2007. He has also represented India 29 times, scoring two goals for the nation vs the arc rivals Pakistan twice. Hossain was an integral part of the Kerala Blasters side that reached the finals of the Indian Super League last season.

Notedly Mehtab was given 2nd Life by East Bengal Club, as he suffered a career threatening injury playing for Mohun Bagan. He was wondering for club & then East Bengal offered him to play & rest as all say is “HISTORY”. Mehtab was the Link-Man in the team. He played infornt of the defence & behind the attackers. East Bengal team without Mehtab in midfield was a world without air !! His tremendous comeback was rewarded by his national team call in the year 2011. Under Trevor James Morgan he flourished as one of the best Defensive Midfielder the country have ever produced ! He was stated as the man with “Double Cylinder” of Indian Football.
