ATK Mohun Bagan defeated NorthEast United FC 3-1 in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 at the PJN Stadium in Fatorda on Saturday.

Suhair Vadakkepeedika (17’) gave NEUFC the lead early on, however, Joni Kauko (22’) equalized for ATKMB. Liston (45’) made it 2-1 just before half-time. Manvir Singh (52’) scored the third goal for ATK Mohun Bagan.

The result means ATKMB extended their unbeaten streak to 10 matches and moved to second place with 26 points from 14 games, NorthEast United FC remained rock-bottom with 10 points from 17 games.

Joni Kauko won the Hero of the Match Award.

In the next match, Mumbai City FC will lock horn with Odisha FC. Meanwhile, SC East Bengal will next face Kerala Blasters FC at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Monday, February 14.
