Australia defeated Thailand 2-1 to finish with all win record in Group B of AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022 at Mumbai Football Arena on Thursday.

Despite defeat Thailand also advanced to the quarter-finals, where they will face Japan on Sunday, while Australia will cross paths with Korea Republic.

Emily van Egmond opened the scoring for Australia in the 39’ and Kerr scored the second in 80’ while Nipawan Panyosuk netted one back for Thailand in injury time.
