Bengal’s Campaign ends in Group Stage of Swami Vivekananda U20 Men’s National Football Championship at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Ground.
Bengal was clubbed with Haryana, Nagaland and Madhya Pradesh in Group H.
In their first match, Bengal played a 2-2 draw in opening match with Haryana. For Bengal, Santanu Naskar in 50’ and Irfan Sardar in 60’ scored the goals while for Haryana Anni in 33’ and Sanjay 73’ scored the goals.
In second match, Bengal lost to Nagaland by 1-0. Ghuqhe Chishi in 13’ scored the goal for Nagaland.
In their final group match, Bengal defeated Madhya Pradesh 3-0. Jeet Shikari in 11’, Santanu Naskar in 54’ and Miraj Mullick in 58’ scored the goals.
Bengal finished the campaign with four points, Haryana finished at second place with five points while Nagaland progressed to quarterfinal with seven points.
