Bengaluru FC defeated Jamshedpur FC 3-1 in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 at the Athletic Stadium in Bambolim on Saturday.

Daniel Chima Chukwu had given JFC the lead inside the first minute but BFC made a roaring comeback in the second half, with Cleiton Silva scoring twice in 62’ and in 90+4’ and Sunil Chhetri scoring in 54’.

Chhetri scored his 49th goal, equalling Hyderabad FC’s Barthomew Ogbeche who became the all-time highest scorer in the ISL the other day with 49 goals.

Bengaluru stretched their unbeaten run to eight games and now have 23 points from 15 games, same as Kerala Blasters who are second due to better goal difference.

Jamshedpur FC dropped to fourth with the loss with 22 points from 13 matches.

Bruno Silva won the Hero of the Match Award.

In the next match, Chennaiyin FC will lock horn with Mumbai City FC. Meanwhile, SC East Bengal will face Odisha FC on February 07, Monday at Tilak Maidan Stadium.
