Bengaluru FC defeated NorthEast United FC 4-2 in the second game of Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 at the Athletic Stadium in Bambolim on Saturday.

For the Blues, Cleiton Silva (14′), Jayesh Rane (42′) and Prince Ibarra (81′) scored the goals while Deshorn Brown (17′), Mathias Coureur (25′) scored for the Highlanders along with Mashoor Shereef (22′ OG) gave Blues advantage.

It was an entertaining 12 minutes where we saw four goals were scored. NorthEast United FC were probably the better side in the first half and if they could have taken their chances then things could have been different.

However, second half was all about Bengaluru FC. They passed a lot better and were looking confident with lead they got during the end of first half. They hardly gave NEUFC any free space and ensured the three points with the fourth goal in 81’.

Bengaluru FC won the Club Award while Udanta Singh won the Hero of the Match Award.

In the next match SC East Bengal with begin their campaign against Jamshedpur FC at Tilak Maidan Stadium.
