Bengaluru FC ended seven-game winless run with a 4-2 win against Chennaiyin FC in ISL 2021-22

Bengaluru FC ended a seven-game winless run to record a 4-2 victory against Chennaiyin FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 match at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Thursday.

Mirlan Murzaev (4’) helped Chennaiyin take the lead before Bengaluru scored twice through Cleiton Silva (39’) and Alan Costa (43’). Rahim Ali (49’) got Chennaiyin level but Udanta Singh (70’) and Pratik Chowdhary (74’) ensured the Blues gets three points.

For Bengaluru FC the worthless run came to an end as they moved to eighth in the points table from 10th with nine points from nine games. Chennaiyin remained sixth with 11 points from eight games.

Roshan Naorem won the Hero Match of the Match Award.

Next on January 2, Kerala Blasters FC and FC Goa will lock horn in match no. 46. Meanwhile SC East Bengal will next play against Bengaluru FC on January 04.
