Bengaluru FC and ATK Mohun Bagan played an entertaining 3-3 draw in 2021-22 Indian Super League (ISL) match at the Athletic Stadium in Bambolim on Thursday.

For Bengaluru FC, Cleiton Silva 18’, Danish Farooq 26’, Prince Ibara 72’ scored the goals while for ATK Mohun Bagan, Subhasish Bose 13’, Hugo Boumous 38’, Roy Krishna 58’ scored.

It was an entertaining game of football as no team had a clear grip throughout the game and the momentum kept shifting all the time.

It was ATK Mohun Bagan that took the lead when Subhasish Bose slotted home from a corner in the 13’. Bengaluru FC equalised a few minutes later, with Cleiton Silva converting from the penalty spot. A clean header from Danish Farooq, off a corner, gave Bengaluru a 2-1 lead in 26’. Just before half-time, ATK Mohun Bagan drew level through Hugo Boumous.

The second half saw ATK Mohun Bagan take the early lead as they got a penalty and Roy Krishna scored. But, that lead was once again short-lived as Prince Ibara got in a great header at the 72’. Both the teams tried their best to edge past the other team after that but couldn’t go past the net.

Marco Pezzaiuoli chose to keep Sunil Chhetri on the bench, while Ashique Kuruniyan played up front. Chhetri, who has struggled for form this season, came on as a substitute late in the outing but failed to make an impact.

The draw left ATK Mohun Bagan in sixth place and Bengaluru FC in ninth place on the points table.

Subhasish Bose won the Hero of the Match Award.

In the next match NorthEast United FC will meet SC East Bengal on December 16.
