A last-minute goal by Khassa Camara ensured that NorthEast United FC grabbed full points against FC Goa in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Saturday. This is the first win for the Highlanders in this season.

The Highlanders found the opener through Rochharzela (10′) but Alexander Romario Jesuraj (13′) equalised minutes later for the Gaurs.

FC Goa looked like the dominant side after their goal. The Gaurs had multiple opportunities which they failed to take advantage of.

The Highlanders began to look more organised after the break with the defense line looking more compact. They were only relying on the counter-attack led by Mathias Coureur who hit the post a couple of times.

When everyone thought that the points will be share, the late heroic by Khassa Camara (90+4′) sealed the match for NorthEast United FC.

The loss kept FC Goa at the bottom of the table, still searching for their first point of the season.

Hernan Santana won Hero of the Match Award.

Mumbai City FC and Bengaluru FC will play in the next match. Meanwhile, SC East Bengal will next play against FC Goa on December 7, Tuesday at Tilak Maidan Stadium.
