Chennaiyin FC played a 1-1 draw with Hyderabad FC in Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 match at the PJN Stadium in Fatorda on Thursday.
Chennaiyin FC went ahead through Mohammad Sajid Dhot in 13’, while Javier Siverio equalized for Hyderabad FC in 45’.
There were no goals in the second period. However, Debjit Majumder made a series of saves in the second half in Chennaiyin Goal. Hyderabad FC missed talisman Bartholomew Ogbeche, as the league’s top-scorer served his suspension after picking up four yellow cards.
The result means Hyderabad FC moved third in the ISL standings table with 17 points from 11 games while Chennaiyin FC remained sixth having 15 points from 11 matches.
Debjit Majumder won the Hero of the Match Award.
In the next match, FC Goa will face NorthEast United FC. Meanwhile, SC East Bengal will next face FC Goa on January 19, Wednesday.
