Chennaiyin FC thrashed NorthEast United FC 7-3 in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 match at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Saturday.

For Chennaiyin FC,  Abdenasser El Khayati scored a hat-trick in 11′, 40′ and 48′, while Petar Sliskovic scored a brace in 45′ and 57′, Julius Duker scored in 68′, while Joe Zoherliana scored an own goal in 79′.

For NorthEast United FC, Wilmar Gil in 36′ (P), Romain Philippoteaux in 73′, and Rochharzela 90′ were on target.

After, two back-to-back losses, Chennaiyin FC with this win took their points tally to 13 points from 9 games and remained at 7th position.

Abdenasser El Khayati won the Hero of the Match Award.

Next on Sunday, December 11, Kerala Blasters FC will take on Bengaluru FC.
