The environment of our century old East Bengal club is deteriorating day by day. It’s not only the game football is getting effected because of the unprofessionalism approach of the club officials, but now the fans are also getting death threat from the club.
Earlier this week the executive committee of East Bengal met for an emergency meeting where they decided in favour of not signing the final agreement, terming it ‘disrespectful’.
The decision had jeopardize SC East Bengal’s participation in Indian Super League.
Supporters all over the world has shown their dissatisfaction with the way the club officials are handling the issue and creating uncertainty about the future of the club.
Hence, East Bengal Fans planned a massive protest against the club on July 21st. This decision had put the club officials in back foot. As a result, our founder member Rabi Shankar Sen received death thread over phone. As soon as this incident came to light, supporters all over the world expressed their anger in social media.
SC East Bengal’s Coach Robbie Flower also reacted on this incident and tweeted “Disgraceful but honestly not surprised”.
