Defending Champions East Bengal FC will face Kerala Blasters FC in Super Cup 2025 Opener in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on Sunday, April 20.

This year the tournament will be played in knockout format, the same format which was played in 2018 and 2019.

If East Bengal win the Round of 16 match, then they will face winners of Mohun Bagan SG and I-League Team (Will be announced soon) in quarterfinals.

The round of 16 matches will be held between April 20 and 24, while the quarter-finals will take place on April 26 and 27, semi-finals are scheduled on April 30 and the final will be played on May 3.

In 2018, inaugural edition, East Bengal finished runners-up losing to Bengaluru FC in final. In Round of 16, the Red & Gold brigade defeated Mumbai City FC 2-1, in quarterfinal defeated Aizawl FC 1-0 and in semi-final defeated FC Goa 1-0.

In 2019 along with six I-League clubs, East Bengal withdrew from the competition citing “unfair treatment to I-League clubs by the AIFF.”

In 2023, the Red & Gold Brigade finished third in Group Stage, they drew all their matches – against Odisha FC, Hyderabad FC and Aizawl FC in Group B.

In 2024, East Bengal FC won the tournament defeating Sreenidi Deccan, Hyderabad Fc and Mohun Bagan SG in group stage, Jamshedpur FC in semi-final and Odisha FC in final.
