East Bengal FC defeated Bashundhara Kings of Bangladesh 4-0 in Group A of AFC Challenge League 2024-25 at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan on Tuesday.
For the Red & Gold Brigade, Dimitrios Diamantakos (1′), Souvik Chakrabarti (20’), Nandhakumar Sekar (26’) and Anwar Ali (33’) scored the goals.
East Bengal FC earlier played a 2-2 draw with Paro FC of Bhutan and will face Lebanon’s Nejmeh FC on Friday.
East Bengal FC is currently in second place in group with four points. A win against Nejmeh FC will assure a direct entry into the AFC Challenge League quarter-finals.
