East Bengal FC defeated Bengaluru FC to secure season’s first home win in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata.

For East Bengal FC, Cleiton Silva scored a brace, one through penalty in 39′ and another through a brilliant free kick in 90′ of the match. For Bengaluru FC, Javi scored back one in 55′.

With this win, East Bengal FC climbed to 8th place with 12 points from 11 matches while Bengaluru FC dropped to 9th place with 10 points from 12 matches.

Cleiton Silva for his match-winning double won the Hero of the Match Award.

Next on Monday, January 2nd as Odisha FC will take on Mumbai City FC.
