East Bengal FC defeated Downtown Heroes FC 3-1 in Group A match of Durand Cup 2024 at Kishore Bharati Krirangan on Wednesday.
For East Bengal FC, Madih Talal in 29′, Saul Crespo in 36′ (P) and Jesin T.K in 90+3′ scored the goals. Aafreen Basharat in 30′ pulled back one for Downtown Heroes FC.
Earlier, East Bengal FC defeated Indian Air Force Football Team 3-1 in the opening match.
East Bengal FC will next face Mohun Bagan SG on August 18.
