East Bengal FC started their campaign in Hero U-17 Youth Cup 2022-23 on a winning note at Imphal’s SAI Ground today. The Moshal Colts defeated Gauhati Town Club 2-1 in their opening match.
Gopal Das gave East Bengal the lead in 55′ while Rakesh Mali’s own goal helped Gauhati Town Club to come back into the match. However, Debojit Roy scored the winner for Moshal Colts in 75′ to ensure that East Bengal starts the campaign with three points.
