East Bengal FC defeated Indian Air Force Football Team 3-1 in Group A match of Durand Cup 2024 at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata on Monday.
Somananda Singh gave Indian Air Force Football Team the lead in 19′. David Lalhlansanga equalized in 43′. Dimitrios Diamantakos gave the Red & Gold Brigade the lead in 61′ while Saul Crespo added another in 67′.
East Bengal FC showed a promising performance with 60% ball Possession throughout the match. Madih Talal and Dimitrios Diamantakos impressed a lot. The combination of Madih Talal, Dimitrios Diamantakos and Saul Crespo was excellent resulting two goals in second half. David Lalhlansanga was also very impressive.
East Bengal Fc will next face Downtown Heroes on August 7.
