East Bengal FC defeated Jyotirmoy AC 3-0 in Kanyashree Cup Championship Round at East Bengal Ground on Wednesday.
For Moshal Girls, Sarjida Khatun scored a brace in 16′ & 60′ while Singo Murmu scored the other goal in 74′.
East Bengal FC will next face Shreebhumi FC in the final Championship Round Match on Friday at Kishore Bharati Stadium. This will be a must win match for Moshal Girls to ensure they retain the title. A draw will give Shreebhumi FC the title as they have better goal difference.
Earlier, Moshal Girls defeated Moitri Sansad 5-1, New Alipore Suruchi Sangha 2-0, while played a goalless draw with West Bengal Police SC in Championship Round. They topped Group A with 6 wins and one draw. They defeated Kalighat Sports Lovers Association 11-1, West Bengal Police SC 7-1, Amuzi Bally Gramanchal Krira Samity 5-0, Mohammedan SC 7-0, MATUA SNOSC 11-0, Invention FCC 3-0 (walkover) while played goalless draw with New Alipore Suruchi Sangha.
