East Bengal FC defeated Kerala Blasters FC 4-2 to keep their Playoff hopes alive in Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Wednesday.

For East Bengal FC, Naorem Mahesh Singh (82′, 87,) and Saul Crespo (45′, 71′) scored a brace each.

For Kerala Blasters FC, Fedor Cernych scored one in 23’, while Hijazi Maher scored an OG in 84’.

Jeakson Singh Thounaojam in 45′ and Naocha Singh in 74′ was shown Red Card.

Naorem Mahesh Singh was adjudged Key Performer of the Match.

With this win East Bengal FC jumped to seventh place in league table with 21 points from 20 matches.

Kerala Blasters FC will next play against NorthEast United FC on April 6, whereas East Bengal FC will face Bengaluru FC on April 7.
