East Bengal FC defeated Mumbai City FC 4-3 in a thrilling match in Group B match of the 131st Durand Cup, at the Kishore Bharati Stadium here on Saturday.
Having played two goalless draws before a lone-goal loss against traditional rival ATK Mohun Bagan, East Bengal put a memorable finishing to its campaign with a fantastic win in the end.
The first half produced a very entertaining brand of attacking football that saw six goals coming up in the course of the action.
For East Bengal Sumeet Passi in 17’ and 34’ while Cleiton Silva scored in 22’ and 81’. For Mumbai City FC Lallianzuala Chhangte struck twice in 36’ and 43’ and Greg Stewart scored one in 27’.
