East Bengal FC defeated Mumbai Knights FC 4-2 in Group A match of the Hero Indian Women’s League 2023 (IWL), at the Shahibaug Police Stadium on Thursday.

This was Red & Gold Women Brigade’s third consecutive victory in three matches. They lost opening match against Gokulam Kerala FC by 8-2 and defeated Kahaani FC 1-0 in the second while Mata Rukmani FC 2-0 in third.

For East Bengal FC, Rimpa Haldar scored a brace in 30′ & 55′ while Tulsi in 34′ and Mousumi in 44′ scored the other two goals. For Mumbai Knights FC, Priyanka in 65′ and Namrata in 83′ scored.

East Bengal FC will next face Misaka United FC on May 06 at Transstadia.
