East Bengal FC defeated Namdhari FC 1-0 in Group A of 2025 Durand Cup at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan on Wednesday. With this win the Red & Gold Brigade moved to six points from two matches. Earlier, they defeated South United FC 5-0.
Hamid Ahadad scored the all-important goal in 67′.
East Bengal FC could have scored more goals; however, luck was not in their favour today as the ball hitting the bar three times while Namdhari FC goalkeeper Neeraj Kumar did several saves.
East Bengal will next face Indian Air Force FT on August 10.
