East Bengal FC defeated NorthEast United FC 1-0 in Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season on Friday at Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.

Dimitrios Diamantakos score the all-important goal in 23’ from Madih Talal’s assist, which gave the Red & Gold Brigade their first win of the ongoing ISL season.

Both the teams ended the match with 10 players. Mohammed Ali Bemammer was shown Red Card in 72′ while Lalchungnunga received Red Card in 87′.

Madih Talal was adjudged Key Performer of the Match.

The win gave East Bengal FC 4 points from 8 matches while North East United FC remained on third place with 15 points from 10 matches.

Next, East Bengal FC will travel to Chennai to face Chennaiyin FC on December 7 while NorthEast United FC will host Mohun Bagan Super Giant on December 8.
