East Bengal FC defeated Odisha FC 3-1 in Indian Women’s League (IWL) 2024-25 at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar on Sunday.
For Moshal Girls, Elshaddai Acheampong scored a hat-trick (7′ 31′, 38′). She was also adjudged Player of the match. Elshaddai is the first player to score a hat-trick for East Bengal FC in IWL. Jennifer Kankam Yeboah pulled back one for hosts in 74’.
After Round 7, the Moshal Girls are leading the points table with 18 points.
Earlier, East Bengal FC defeated Sethu FC 3-0, Nita Football Academy 4-1, Sribhumi FC 1-0, Kickstart FC 2-0 and HOPS FC 1-0, lost to Gokulam Kerala FC 3-2.
East Bengal FC will next face Kickstart FC on March 15 at Bangalore Football Stadium.
