East Bengal FC registered their first win of the season in Calcutta Football League (CFL) 2023 at Naihati Bankimanjali Stadium. The Red & Gold Brigade defeated West Bengal Police FC 4-2.
At half-time EBFC was leading by 2-1. Tapendu Ghosh’s OG gave East Bengal FC the lead in 17′. Sarthak Golui doubled the lead in 25′. Subrata Biswas scored back one through spot-kict in 33′ for West Bengal Police FC. Ratan Mandi scored back the second goal for WP Police FC in 47′. Dip Saha gave EBFC the lead again in 70′ through spot-kick. Avishek Kunjam scored the fourth goal for the Red & Gold Brigade in 74′.
Avishek Kunjam won the Man of the Match Award.
