East Bengal FC finished Runners-up in AIFF Super Cup 2025-26 after losing to FC Goa 6-5 in penalty shootout at the JLN Stadium on Sunday.

The Red & Gold Brigade had their chances in regulation time, but failed to convert them. FC Goa with this edition won the Super Cup for third time. They also earned a spot in the 2026-27 AFC Champions League Two play-offs.

Both East Bengal FC and FC Goa converted four of the five penalties. For East Bengal FC, Kevin Sibille, Saúl Crespo, Miguel Ferreira, and Anwar Ali converted, while Javier Siverio, Dejan Dražić, Muhammed Nemil, and David Timor scored for FC Goa.

For East Bengal FC, Mohammed Rashid in penalty shootout and PV Vishnu in sudden death missed their effort, while for FC Goa Borja Herrera missed in penalty shootout.

Hamid Ahadad converted during sudden death, while Udanta Singh Kumam and Sahil Tavora scored for the hosts.

Earlier, in 2018, East Bengal finished runners-up losing to Bengaluru FC 1-4 while in 2024, they defeated Odisha FC 3-2 at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneshwar.
