East Bengal FC U17 lost to Classic Football Academy U-17 in their last match of Group D at Hero U-17 Youth Cup 2022-23 at SAI Ground in Imphal. An injury time goal brought a shocking defeat to the Moshal Colts.

Earlier, the Moshal Colts defeated Gauhati Town Club U17 2-1 and Jamshedpur FC U17 2-0 and drew with Shillong Lajong FC U-17 0-0.

East Bengal FC U17 finished at second place in Group D with 7 points and still have a chance to qualify for the knockout stage as a possible second best team.
