East Bengal FC lost to FC Arkadag 1-0 in AFC Challenge League quarterfinal first leg at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata on Wednesday.
Yazgylych Gurbanov scored the only goal of the match for the visitors in first half.
East Bengal had created chances throughout the match, but could not find the net.
East Bengal FC will travel to Turkmenistan for the second leg of the AFC Challenge League quarterfinal, which will be played on March 12.
