East Bengal FC lost to FC Goa 1-2 courtesy Edu Bedia’s injury time goal in Hero ISL 2022-23

East Bengal FC though being a better side of the match, lost to FC Goa in injury time goal at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23.

Eduardo Bedia Pelaez scored the winning goal in injury-time through free-kick. Earlier, Brandon Fernandes in 7′ gave FC Goa the lead, while Cleiton Silva equalized from penalty in 64′ for Red & Gold brigade.

East Bengal played better football and looked more likely to score but were struggling with the final pass. However, FC Goa managed to bag full three points.

Eduardo Bedia Pelaez won the Hero of the Match Award.

In the next match on October 13, NorthEast United FC will lock horn with Hyderabad FC.

East Bengal FC will next face NorthEast United FC on October 20 at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati.
