East Bengal FC lost to Punjab FC 4-1 in Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. The loss means that the Red && Gold Brigade are out of play-off race and Chennaiyin FC have become the sixth and final team to qualify for the playoffs.

For Punjab FC, Wilmar Jordan Gil scored a brace (19’, 62’), while Madih Talal (43’) and Luka Majcen (70’) scored a goal each. For East Bengal FC, Sayan Banerjee scored back one in 25′.

Madih Talal was adjudged Key Performer of the Match.

Both the teams finished their Indian Super League campaign with 24 points.
