East Bengal FC made an epic comeback to defeat Punjab FC 4-2 at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK) Stadium in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 on Tuesday.

This is the first time that East Bengal FC won a match in ISL despite trailing by 2-0.

Asmir Suljic in 21’ and Ezequiel Vidal in 39’ gave Punjab FC the lead, however, Hijazi Maher in 46’, Vishnu Puthiya in 54’, an OG by Suresh Meitei in 60’ and David Lalhlansanga in 67’ goals gave East Bengal FC full points.

East Bengal FC now have 10 points from 11 matches and are standing at 11th place in league table, while Punjab FC dropped to 5th place with 18 points.

Next, East Bengal FC will face Jamshedpur FC on December 21, whereas Punjab FC face Mohun Bagan Super Giant on December 26.
