East Bengal FC defeated Punjab FC by a solitary goal to move to the quarterfinal of Durand Cup on Wednesday at Kishore Bharati Krirangan.
Siverio scored the goal in the 26′ of the match. The win took The Red & Gold Brigades to top of Group A with 7 points.
East Bengal FC started the tournament with a 2-2 draw against Bangladesh Army Football Team followed by a 1-0 win against arch rivals Mohun Bagan SC.
