East Bengal FC played a 1-1 draw with Bengaluru FC at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium, Kolkata ending playoff hope in Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 on Sunday.

East Bengal is currently standing at eighth place with 28 points from 23 matches.

Raphael Messi Bouli gave East Bengal FC the lead in 11’ while Sunil Chhetri equalized in 90+1’ through penalty for Bengaluru FC.

East Bengal was down to 10 men at the brink of the half-time whistle as Diamantakos was shown a red card following a feisty challenge.

Sunil Chhetri was adjudged Key Performer of the Match.

East Bengal FC will next face NorthEast United FC on March 8, whereas Bengaluru FC will face Mumbai City FC on March 11.
