East Bengal FC Reserve Team won the Kuladakanta Memorial Champion Shield 2025 on Wednesday at Raiganj Town Club Ground in North Bengal. This was the 92nd edition of the tournament.
In final, East Bengal defeated Diamond Harbour FC 3-0. Sayan Banerjee (24′), Shyamal Besra (35′) and Naseeb Rahman (37′) scored the goals.
This is the second time East Bengal Reserve Team won the tournament. Earlier, in 2023 they had won the title.
Sayan Banerjee was adjudged Player of the final, while Shyamal Besra, who scored four goals was adjudged Player of the Tournament.
Earlier, in semifinal, the Reserve team defeated Shyam Metallics 3-0. Shyamal Besra (12′, 61′, 69′) scored a hat-trick.
