After losing out in the Kolkata Derby against ATK Mohun Bagan, now East Bengal FC is all set to host Chennaiyin FC in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata.
Both the teams will be looking to get back to winning ways tomorrow.
East Bengal FC and Chennaiyin FC both have their problems with the back line. For Chennaiyin FC Ajith and Narayan will have to be careful and should not repeat the mistakes from their last game. Specially Narayan was completely off colour in their match against FC Goa and the two goals they conceded was because of his mistakes. Besides this the two center backs of CFC have also got issues with their covering. The CFC midfield and frontline looks good during attacking build up. CFC should start with Karikari in place of Sliskovic as the former will create more problems for the red and gold defence.
East Bengal FC will have to do a lot of hard work with their midfield and defence line. Till now other than Lalchungnunga none of the players has been impressive when it comes to playing against quality opponents. In the midfield the rest of the players will have to provide the much needed support to Jordan and Naorem in order to create chances for Haokip and Cleiton. Kamaljit needs to pull up his socks and perform well as vital mistakes from him can again cost the hosts some vital points.
Overall it will be a game where both teams will create scoring chances and the team that can show solidarity in defence will have more chances to grab full points.
