East Bengal started with a 7-1 win over Measures Club, played a 1-1 draw with Suruchi Sangha, 2-2 draw with Calcutta Customs, lost to Patha Chakra 1-0, defeated arch rivals Mohun Bagan 3-2, defeated BBS Sporting Club 6-0.
