Emami East Bengal FC started their journey in the Calcutta Football League Super Six stage with a goalless draw against Khidderpore FC at Naihati. The Reserve Team of East Bengal took the field under coach Bino George.
Though, East Bengal fielded the reserve team, but they had dominated the match throughout, but failed to convert the all-important goal. East Bengal had total 14 shots on target. However, Khidderpore FC goalkeeper Priyant Singh saved several sure goals.
East Bengal FC will next face Aryan FC on September 28.
