NorthEast United FC holds FC Goa to 2-2 draw in the 82nd match of Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 at Tilak Maidan Stadium.
A draw was a fair result as both side played equally well. FC Goa started well and broke the deadlock in the 21’ through Alexander Romario Jesuraj. Federico Gallego equalized for NorthEast United FC from penalty in 41’. The Gaurs regained the lead through an own goal from Gurjinder Kumar in 80’. Gallego again scored from penalty in the 83’ to stretch NEUFC’s unbeaten run to five games.
FC Goa, Hyderabad FC & NorthEast United all tied to 22 points, but FC Goa moved to third place on goal difference followed by Hyderabad FC & NorthEast United FC.
Jorge Ortiz won the DHL Winning Pass of the Match Award. While Federico Gallego bagged the Hero of the Match Award.
In the next match Bengaluru FC will take on Chennaiyin FC.
Kolkata Giants ATK Mohun Bagan will play against Odisha FC on 6th February while SC East Bengal will lock horn with Jamshedpur FC on 7th February.
