FC Goa showed a dominant performance to beat Odisha FC 3-1 in the 97th match of Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 at Fatorda Stadium.
A team effort brought FC Goa back to a winning ways after six consecutive draws in this edition of ISL. Goals from Alberto Noguera (18′) and Jorge Ortiz (26′) gave the Gaurs early lead in the match. However, Diego Mauricio (30′) pulled one back for Odisha FC in the first half. In the second half Ivan Gonzalez (75′)Â ensured that the Gaurs bags three important points and keep themselves in playoff race.
The victory took FC Goa up to fourth place with 27 points, same as Hyderabad FC, one point ahead of NorthEast United who have a game in hand.
The DHL Winning Pass of the Match Award was taken by Saviour Gama while Ivan Gonzalez bagged the Hero of the Match Award.
In the next match Chennaiyin FC will lock horns with NorthEast United FC.
Meanwhile SC East Bengal will face ATK Mohun Bagan on 19th February. The Second Kolkata Derby of the season will be played at Fatorda Stadium.
