Kerala Blasters FC and Chennaiyin FC played a 1-1 draw in the 102nd match of Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 at GMC Stadium, Bambolim.
The southern Derby was expected to be highly electrifying match but was ended in a 1-1 draw. Fatkhulo Fatkhulloev gave Chennaiyin FC the lead in the 10’, while Gary Hooper equalized for Kerala Blasters FC from the spot in 29’.
Both the teams are already out of playoff race. This was Chennayin FC’s 11 draw in this edition of Indian Super League, they had won three and lost six matches. Marina Machans finished their campaign with 20 points. Meanwhile Kerala Blasters FC have won 3 matches, lost 8 and drawn 8 matches. Currently they are standing on 10th place and a game on their hand against NorthEast United FC.
The DHL Winning Pass of the Match Award was won by Edwin Vanspaul. The Hero of the Match Award was bagged by Lallianzuala Chhangte.
In the next match Hyderabad FC will lock horn with ATK Mohun Bagan.
Meanwhile SC East Bengal will play against NorthEast United FC on 23rd February at Fatorda Stadium.
