Recap
FC Goa played a goalless draw with Hyderabad FC and qualifies for the playoff in the 109th match of Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 at Fatorda Stadium.
It was a must win game for the Nizams to qualify for the playoff and they started the match in attacking mode. Halicharan Narzary and Mohammed Yasir kept pressure on the Guars defense. But the discipline and compact defense of the Gaurs denied the Nizams to find the back of the net. However, Hyderabad FC got their golden opportunities in the injury time, but a goal-line clearance by Ivan Gonzalez and a superb leaping save by Dheeraj Singh secured FC Goa the last playoff spot.
It is the sixth time in seven years that FC Goa has made the playoff and from 2017 fourth time in a row.
The DHL Winning Pass of the Match Award was won by Edu Bedia. Adil Khan bagged the Hero of the Match Award.
