FC Goa defeated East Bengal FC 4-2 in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 match at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa.

For FC Goa, Iker Guarrotxena scored a hat-trick (11′, 21′, 23′) while Brandon Fernandes scored the fourth in 53′. For East Bengal FC, Suhair Vadakkepeedika in 59′ and Sarthak Golui in 66′ scored back two.

The win has strengthened FC Goa’s position on the table. As far as East Bengal FC are concerned, they tried to stage a comeback but it was a little too late and now they are near the exit gate of the Hero ISL 2022-23.

Iker Guarrotxena had won the Hero of the Match Award.

Next on Friday, January 27, Jamshedpur FC and Mumbai City FC will lock horn.
