The Indian men’s football started their FIFA World Cup 2026 AFC qualifiers second round Group A campaign with a 1-0 victory against Kuwait at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City on Thursday, November 16.

Manvir Singh (75)’ scored the only goal of the match for Blue Tigers. Faizal Zaid Al-Harbi of Kuwait was sent off in second-half stoppage time.

India will take on Qatar on Tuesday, November 21, in the second Group A match at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
