France defeated Denmark 2-1 to qualify for RO16 in 2022 FIFA World Cup

France became the first team to qualify for Round of 16 with a 2-1 win over Denmark in Group D match of 2022 FIFA World Cup at Stadium 974 on November 26, in Doha, Qatar.

For France, Kylian Mbappe scored a brace in 61′ and 86′ while Anreas Christensen scored back one for Denmark in 68′.

France’s qualification to knockout stage also break the curse of defending champions elimination in group stage which started since 1998 with European nations, starting with France, then in 2006 Italy, 2010 Spain and 2014 Germany.
