East Bengal Club was established on August 1920. In the same month of Club’s Foundation, East Bengal won the Seven –a-side Hercules Cup. The club’s first ever match was against Vidyasagar College, whom East Bengal trounced 4-0. It was a huge moment for the newborn club when they won the tournament defeating D.C.L.I. in the finals 3-1.
