Bengal started their Hero 27th Senior Women’s National Football Championship 2022-23 campaign with a winning note at Sports Ground, Hindustan College of Science and Technology, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

In Group V match, Bengal defeated Arunachal Pradesh 3-0. Titli Sarkar, Mousumi Murmu and Rimpa Haldar scored the goals.

Bengal have won the championship twice in 1991-92 and in 1996-97 while finished Runners-up on 13 occasions.
